Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our busy finance team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in accounting software. You will be responsible for managing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and helping to optimize financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with regulations.
• Assist with the annual budgeting process.
• Monitor cash flow and financial performance.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems.
• Provide financial insights to help improve business operations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
• ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting

Technical Skills

• QuickBooks Pro
• Tax Preparation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with financial audits: Familiarity with audit processes and compliance requirements.
