We are seeking a skilled Sawyer to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in cutting, shaping, and preparing timber, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You will operate woodworking machinery, interpret blueprints, and collaborate with other teams to achieve production targets.

Responsibilities

• Measure timber accurately and mark cutting specifications.
• Use various hand and power tools proficiently to cut and shape timber.
• Work closely with Quality Control to guarantee product integrity.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all tasks.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in training new team members on safe woodworking practices.
• Keep updated on the latest techniques and tools in the woodworking trade.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure standards are met.
• Assist with inventory management and supply chain duties as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Certifications in woodworking
• Relevant apprenticeships

Experience

• Previous experience with CNC woodworking machines is advantageous

Technical Skills

• CNC Machine Operation
• Knowledge of timber grading systems

Soft Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
