Fabrication Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for a Fabrication Supervisor to oversee our fabrication processes in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills, managing a team of fabricators to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the fabrication floor.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Evaluate and improve fabrication processes for efficiency and quality.
• Provide leadership and support to the fabrication team.
• Prepare reports on team performance and project status.
• Facilitate communication between departments regarding project timelines.
• Ensure all equipment is operational and well-maintained.
• Assist with the hiring and onboarding of new fabricators.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop training programmes for skill enhancement.

Requirements

Education

• Proven experience as a Fabrication Supervisor or similar role
• Relevant vocational or technical certification

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication or related field

Advantageous

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role: Demonstrated experience overseeing teams in a manufacturing environment.
