Forging Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

As a Forging Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will be responsible for operating and controlling forging machinery to produce high-quality metal components. You will ensure that production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operates forging machines, following set procedures for shaping metal parts.
• Conducts quality checks on products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintains work area in a safe and clean manner.
• Trains new operators on machinery and procedures as needed.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and training.
• Identifies areas for efficiency improvements in the production process.
• Records production data and logs machine use accurately.
• Communicates effectively with team members regarding production issues.
• Engages in team meetings to discuss safety and production performance.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in metalworking or related fields is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes

Soft Skills

• Time management skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience using CAD software: Proficiency in computer-aided design software for creating technical specifications.
• Previous roles in a supervisory capacity: Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting is desirable.
