Job Description

As an Urban Planner in Sheffield, you will play a key role in shaping the future of urban spaces. You will be responsible for planning and developing land use projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and engaging with community stakeholders. A keen understanding of urban design principles and environmental sustainability will be essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement urban planning strategies.
• Analyze demographic and land-use data to inform planning decisions.
• Create zoning and land use maps.
• Engage with the public through workshops and consultations.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and environmental specialists.
• Review planning applications against local zoning laws.
• Prepare and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess land use and development.
• Provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders on urban planning matters.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Planning, Geography, or related discipline
• Master's degree in Urban Planning is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant urban planning experience
