Accounting Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our dynamic accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain financial records for auditing purposes.
• Review monthly financial statements to identify discrepancies.
• Support the finance manager in budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of financial tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of reports for management review.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve financial skills.

Requirements

Education

• AAT Level 4 or equivalent
• Degree in Accounting or Finance is highly advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting or finance

Technical Skills

• QuickBooks
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• ACCA or CIMA membership is beneficial

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in accounts reconciliation: Ability to ensure accuracy in account balances and transactions.
• Proficiency in accounting software: Experience with multiple accounting software packages.
