Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cat Swamper to join our compassionate team. The Cat Swamper will play a pivotal role in ensuring the care and maintenance of our feline residents, making a positive impact on their well-being.

Responsibilities

• Feeding cats and ensuring access to fresh water.
• Cleaning litter boxes and maintaining a sanitary environment.
• Monitoring cats for any signs of distress or illness.
• Helping with grooming and hygiene tasks.
• Assisting in behavioural training sessions.
• Keeping track of inventory for cat supplies.
• Collaborating with team members for best practices.
• Participating in community outreach and education events.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certifications in animal handling or care is an advantage

Experience

• Experience working in a cat shelter or rescue organisation is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Record keeping
• Basic computer skills

Certifications

• Advanced First Aid for Animals

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in administering medications: Prior experience in administering medication to cats.
• Adoption coordination experience: Experience in facilitating cat adoptions.
