Ethics and Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Ethics and Compliance Officer in Leeds, whose core responsibility will be to ensure all company operations are compliant with internal and external regulations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Engage with stakeholders to integrate compliance into business strategies.
• Review contracts and agreements for compliance issues.
• Liaise with external auditors or regulatory bodies during examinations.
• Promote ethical decision-making across all levels of the organisation.
• Develop metrics to measure compliance effectiveness.
• Conduct due diligence on third-party vendors.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Law or Business
• Certifications in Compliance (like CCEP) are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in compliance or legal roles

Technical Skills

• Compliance software proficiency
• Legal knowledge

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
• Compliance Risk Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with anti-bribery regulations: Knowledge of standards and regulations to prevent bribery.
