Job Description

As a Music Technician, you will facilitate audio engineering for various events, from concerts to rehearsals. Your role will include troubleshooting equipment issues and ensuring optimal sound quality, making you an essential part of our performing arts team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage audio settings during rehearsals and performances.
  • Provide technical support for a variety of musical events.
  • Work closely with other technicians to coordinate sound and lighting for productions.
  • Engage with audiences to address sound-related inquiries or issues.
  • Document and report any audio issues during events for future reference.
  • Participate in post-event evaluations to improve sound quality.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while operating sound equipment.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Music Production or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Music Technology is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years working in a technical role in the performing arts
Technical Skills
  • Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs)
  • Live Sound Mixing
  • Signal Processing

Certifications
  • Advanced Sound Engineering Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Familiarity with MIDI systems: Experience working with MIDI and electronic music production.
  • Experience with video production: Skills in video editing and production are a plus.
