Systems Protection Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Protection Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our system protection infrastructure and ensuring that our systems are protected from cyber attacks. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our organisational assets and requires a proactive approach to security management.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond accordingly.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Engage in security awareness initiatives throughout the organisation.
• Compile and analyse security reports for management.
• Support compliance efforts in line with GDPR and other regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM preferred.

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
