Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Reading. In this role, you will provide support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, assisting them in their recovery journey and promoting their well-being. Ideal candidates will be empathetic and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients in recovery.
  • Assist in daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
  • Facilitate workshops to enhance client's social skills.
  • Act as an advocate for clients' needs and concerns.
  • Participate in care reviews and contribute to treatment planning.
  • Implement behavioural interventions as directed by clinical staff.
  • Conduct client follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
  • Promote mental health awareness within the community.

Requirements

Education
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Relevant mental health qualification is advantageous
Experience
  • Experience in a healthcare or support role preferred
