Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team in Bournemouth. The ideal candidate will be experienced in diagnosing and treating various animal conditions, as well as performing surgeries. You'll work closely with our team of veterinary nurses and support staff to provide the best possible care for our furry patients.

Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat animals in a clinical setting.
  • Execute surgical and non-surgical procedures effectively.
  • Communicate complex medical information in an accessible way.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team learning.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for animal care.
  • Assess and manage pain relief for surgical patients.
  • Advocate for patients’ needs and wellbeing.
  • Continuously review and refine medical protocols.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Veterinary Science or equivalent qualification
  • Specialisation in surgery is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years in a clinical veterinary role
