Sheet Metal Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, measuring, and marking out metal sheets, ensuring precision and quality in various applications from construction to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings to ascertain specifications for sheet metal components.
• Measure and mark dimensions on metal sheets using precision tools.
• Set up and operate CNC machinery for cutting and shaping materials.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety protocols.
• Assist with training new team members on equipment operation and safety.
• Document production processes and any issues encountered to improve efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• A recognised qualification in sheet metal layout and fabrication or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal layout and fabrication.

Technical Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Welding: Knowledge and experience working with welding techniques for metal components.
• CNC Machinery Experience: Hands-on experience with CNC machinery will be an asset.
