We are looking for a highly skilled Japanner to join our team. As a Japanner, you will be responsible for applying traditional Japanese lacquer to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes and meeting client specifications.

Requirements

Education

• Formal training or apprenticeship in Japanning or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Japanning or lacquer work

Technical Skills

• Japanese lacquer techniques
• Brush painting and gold leaf application
• Surface preparation skills

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication
• Problem-solving

Advantageous

• Experience in restoration and conservation of lacquered items: Skills in maintaining and restoring historical lacquered pieces.
