Job Description

We are looking for a Health Policy Specialist to join our team in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will develop and implement policies that positively impact community health, collaborating with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to address health disparities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of public health needs within the community.
• Foster relationships with local health organisations and community leaders.
• Design, implement, and evaluate public health programmes.
• Advise senior management on health policy developments and implications.
• Facilitate workshops focused on policy education and implementation.
• Publish articles and reports on public health issues.
• Utilise evidence-based practices to advocate for health policy reform.
• Collaborate with local government to ensure policy alignment with community needs.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Public Health or related field
• PhD in a relevant discipline preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in public health roles focused on policy

Technical Skills

• Health Economics
• Data Analysis

Certifications

• Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Health Promotion: Experience in developing and implementing health promotion campaigns.
