Forensic Sergeant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Sergeant with a strong background in criminal investigations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of forensic analysts and technicians, ensuring accurate and efficient crime scene investigations, and providing expert testimony in court proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crime scene investigations and evidence collection.
• Conduct forensic analysis and interpret results.
• Document and preserve evidence for court.
• Assist in preparing case reports and findings for legal proceedings.
• Engage in training law enforcement personnel on forensic protocols.
• Develop relationships with external partners to enhance forensic investigations.
• Ensure that laboratory protocols are strictly followed.
• Manage laboratory equipment and maintain quality control.
• Review and analyse evidence to identify trends or patterns.
• Facilitate communication between forensic teams and police departments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science or a related field
• Master's degree in Forensic Science is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in forensic analysis with a focus on criminal investigations

Certifications

• Advanced Forensics Certification
• Certified Digital Forensics Examiner is a plus.
