Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Harbor Police Launch Commander to lead our patrol team. In this role, you will oversee the safety and security of the harbor while coordinating with various law enforcement bodies.
Responsibilities
Lead the patrol team ensuring effective operations throughout the harbour.
Regularly check compliance with safety procedures and maritime laws.
Oversee search and rescue efforts, ensuring swift action during emergencies.
Conduct maintenance checks on patrol vessels to ensure safety and readiness.
Create effective patrol schedules based on activity and demand.
Document and report all relevant incidents accurately.
Mentor and train staff to enhance their operational capabilities.
Work jointly with Coastguard and Royal Navy for coordinated approaches.
Engage with the public to provide information and assistance regarding harbour regulations.
Respond to medical emergencies with appropriate interventions.
Requirements
Education
Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Maritime law enforcement training certificates
Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in maritime law enforcement
