Job Description

We are searching for a diligent Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Cardiff. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing health and safety policies, ensuring our workplace meets legal and regulatory standards. You will conduct risk assessments, arrange training, and help to foster a culture of safety throughout our organisation.

Responsibilities

• Implement proactive health and safety management systems.
• Facilitate health and safety audits and inspections.
• Provide expert advice on health and safety legislation.
• Monitor incident reporting and investigate trends.
• Foster continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
• Ensure all employees are informed and updated on health and safety matters.
• Assist in the preparation for health and safety reviews and inspections.
• Promote staff engagement in health and safety initiatives.
• Develop action plans to address identified risks.
• Act as a point of contact for health and safety queries.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Health and Safety Management
• Professional qualifications in Health and Safety are preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in health services

• Health and Safety Legislation

• Team Player

Certifications

• NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
