Band Teacher

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Band Teacher to join our Music Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing students in various instruments and music theory while creating an engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in playing at least one band instrument such as the flute, trumpet, or saxophone.
• Develop curricula that promote musical composition and creativity.
• Facilitate opportunities for students to perform at local events.
• Encourage a deep understanding of musical theory and its application in practice.
• Assess students' progress with regular feedback and adjustments to teaching methods.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
• Engage with parents and the community to encourage student involvement.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
• Assist in developing school-wide music events and appreciation programs.

Requirements

Education

• A degree in Music Education or related field

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in music teaching or band directing

Languages

• English: Fluent
