Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carriage Operator to join our team. As a Carriage Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining carriages, ensuring the safe transportation of passengers or goods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate carriages, maintaining a focus on efficiency and safety.
• Perform regular maintenance checks, addressing any mechanical concerns.
• Keep the carriage in a presentable state for passengers and loads.
• Follow all procedures and protocols to guarantee compliance with regulations.
• Engage with passengers courteously, addressing complaints promptly.
• Maintain trip logs documenting mileage and fuel usage accurately.
• Work closely with logistics to optimize transport schedules.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience as a Carriage Operator or driver in a similar role is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Excellent driving skills
• Knowledge of traffic regulations

Soft Skills

• Effective communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Valid UK driver's license (Category B or higher)
• Clean driving record

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Additional licenses or endorsements: Licenses such as Category C or D can be beneficial.
• Experience with specific carriage types: Familiarity with transporting livestock or hazardous materials.
