Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Ferryboat Operator to safely transport passengers and vehicles across designated waterways. The ideal candidate must possess strong navigational skills, communicate effectively, and prioritise safety at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the ferry following all navigational protocols.
  • Assist passengers during boarding and disembarking.
  • Conduct regular inspections of ferry equipment and safety gear.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly.
  • Quickly address passenger inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with crew members to uphold operational efficiency.
  • Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
  • Document all operational incidents and maintenance performed.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid Boatmaster License
  • General Certificate of Competence
Experience
  • Experience in operating larger vessels is advantageous.
