Hoist and Winch Operator

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Hoist and Winch Operator to join our London-based team. The primary focus of this role is to operate and maintain winch derrick equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of winch operations and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with operational procedures during winch operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of winch derrick equipment to ensure reliability.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to align on operational demands and priorities.
• Provide training and guidance to junior operators and site workers.
• Prepare detailed reports on equipment usage and safety compliance.
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues efficiently.

Requirements

Education

• Valid certification in winch operation or similar field

Experience

• 3 years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
