Coating, Painting, and Spraying Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Coating, Painting, and Spraying Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will ensure metal surfaces are adequately protected from rusting and corrosion by expertly applying various coatings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-application inspections to assess surface conditions.
• Select and mix coatings according to technical specifications.
• Operate and maintain spraying equipment for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot operational issues with coating machinery as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while using hazardous materials.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance coating processes.
• Train apprentices and other junior staff on best practices in rustproofing.
• Develop and refine application methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

Education

• No specific qualifications required.
• Certifications in surface treatment are advantageous.

Experience

• Previous experience in automotive rustproofing is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Good hand-eye coordination
• Proficiency in using rustproofing tools

Soft Skills

• Effective communication
• Ability to follow instructions

Certifications

• Rustproofing Specialist Certification
• Environmental Safety Training Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with spraying and painting equipment: Hands-on experience in operating industrial spraying and coating machines.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles: Knowledge of efficient manufacturing processes to optimise production.
