Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Engineer to join our Brighton team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and engineering principles. You will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at improving environmental quality, ensuring compliance with legislation, and implementing sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site visits to assess environmental conditions and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for environmental permit applications.
  • Engage with clients to assess their environmental needs and provide recommendations.
  • Assist in the development of green building practices and certifications.
  • Monitor project budgets and timelines to ensure adherence to sustainability goals.
  • Stay updated with advancements in environmental technologies and methodologies.
  • Help implement corporate sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on community and environmental stewardship projects.
  • Develop training materials and workshops for staff and clients.
  • Analyze environmental data to inform decision-making and strategy development.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in environmental projects

  • GIS Mapping

Certifications
  • LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
  • Six Sigma Certification is an asset
