Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Atmospheric, Earth, Marine, and Space Sciences Teacher to inspire and educate students in our thriving academy. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Earth Sciences and demonstrate an ability to engage with students of varying abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach a wide range of Earth Science topics, including weather patterns, marine ecosystems, and space sciences.
• Engage students with practical experiments and lab work to apply scientific concepts.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity and inquiry.
• Encourage students to participate in science fairs and other extracurricular science programs.
• Assist in the development of educational materials and resources.
• Maintain records of classroom activities and student performance.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate science across the curriculum.
• Organize educational trips to museums, research centres, and natural reserves.
• Participate actively in school-wide initiatives and meetings.
• Build strong relationships with students to enhance their learning experience.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geoscience or Environmental Science
• Postgraduate qualification is desirable

Experience

• At least 2 years of teaching experience in a post-secondary institution
