Join our innovative team as a Hydro Technician, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing hydroelectric power equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in renewable energy systems and a strong technical background.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee maintenance schedules for hydroelectric installations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance protocols and suggest improvements.
  • Work on the testing and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Engage in continuous training to keep up with industry standards.
  • Cooperate with external contractors during large projects.
  • Assist in the creation of safety and operational manuals.
  • Engage with local communities regarding renewable energy initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • A recognised qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (such as electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy engineering)
  • Mechanical knowledge Strong mechanical knowledge necessary for equipment installation and repair.
  • Electrical systems Understanding of electrical systems and controls.
  • SCADA systems Basic familiarity with SCADA systems and data analysis software.
  • Problem-solving Highly skilled in identifying and solving complex issues.
  • Teamwork Strong ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience in project management.: Ability to lead and manage small projects in the energy sector.
  • Knowledge of environmental impact assessment.: Understanding the environmental considerations of hydroelectric projects.
