Job Description

As a Radio Machinist, you will be at the forefront of radio communication technology. Your primary responsibility will be to assemble, disassemble, and repair radios and various electronic equipment. This role is critical in ensuring that our clients maintain effective communication systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of radio equipment.
  • Adapt equipment installation procedures for various environments.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding equipment usage.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements in radio and communication systems.
  • Document and report on job progress and technical issues.

Requirements

Education
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in electronics, telecommunications or related field is preferred
Experience
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a radio technician or in a related field is required.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in electronics and radio technology
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams

Advantageous

  • Familiarity with digital radio broadcasting systems and protocols: Knowledge of digital broadcasting standards and practices.
  • Experience with RF propagation and radio wave behavior: Understanding of how radio waves propagate and the factors affecting signal quality.
