Network Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our Nottingham team. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing network solutions to ensure high availability and performance for our clients. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of network protocols, security measures, and troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage network equipment such as routers and switches.
• Implement network monitoring tools to proactively manage performance.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Evaluate and recommend networking products to improve system capabilities.
• Respond to network outages and service interruptions promptly.
• Document network configurations and update records for accuracy.
• Work with vendors to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support as needed.
• Ensure systems are properly backed up and recoverable.
• Assist in implementing cloud-based networking solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or related roles
