Job Description

As a District Plant Engineer, you will oversee the maintenance and operation of multiple plants within our district. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring efficient functioning of all plant equipment and systems, while leading a team of skilled technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and systems.
  • Manage a team of plant maintenance technicians to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor plant performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and address any technical issues with plant equipment and systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and contractors.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of plant operations.
  • Provide regular reports on plant performance and maintenance activities.
  • Identify and implement new technologies or processes to improve efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant maintenance and operations.
Technical Skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of plant equipment and systems
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g. CMMS)
Soft Skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g. energy, pharmaceuticals): Familiarity with strict compliance standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices: Understanding of current environmental laws and practices for plant operations.
