Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Finisher to join our team, specialising in applying stains and finishes to various surfaces including wood, metal, and plastic. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work. This role involves preparing surfaces, mixing and applying stains, and ensuring that all finished products meet our standards for quality and durability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial surface inspections for defects.
• Apply various types of finishes and coatings as per specifications.
• Document finishing processes and materials used.
• Train junior staff on finishing techniques and safety standards.
• Ensure the workspace is kept clean and organised.
• Follow specifications to mix custom colours and finishes.

Requirements

Education

• Vocational training in woodworking or a related field is advantageous

Experience

• 2 years of experience in furniture finishing or equivalent role

Technical Skills

• Spray Gun Operation
• Colour Mixing

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Advantageous

• Knowledge of eco-friendly finishes: Experience in working with sustainable and eco-friendly finishing products.
• Proficiency in CAD software: Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings to understand specifications.
