Job Description

As an Early Interventionist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children and families. You will conduct assessments, collaborate with families to implement intervention strategies, and monitor progress to ensure optimal developmental outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Explore and understand the unique needs of each child and family to tailor intervention strategies.
  • Engage in active listening and effective communication with clients and family members.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for families on implementing strategies at home.
  • Utilise evidence-based approaches to support child development.
  • Document and report on therapy sessions and client outcomes accurately.
  • Advocate for the needs of children and families within the healthcare system.
  • Work collaboratively with other specialists, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of intervention plans and make modifications when necessary.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about early intervention services.
  • Provide resources and information to families regarding support services available.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields such as Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or Psychology
  • Certification in Early Intervention or related coaching certification
Experience
  • Prior experience working within child development settings or community-based organisations is preferred.

Certifications
  • Relevant certifications in child development or special needs education
Languages
