Job Description
The Animal Control Specialist will be responsible for enforcing local laws and regulations regarding animal welfare and control. This role involves responding to animal-related complaints, investigating and resolving incidents, and providing assistance and education to the community on responsible pet ownership.

Job Responsibilities
  • Educate the public on animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
  • Conduct regular patrols to monitor for animal-related issues.
  • Support community outreach programs related to animal control.
  • Assist with emergency situations involving dangerous or distressed animals.
  • Actively engage with local community stakeholders to promote animal welfare initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Animal handling and restraint techniques Skilled in safely handling and restraining various animal species.
  • Conflict resolution Experienced in resolving conflicts and customer service issues.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork Ability to work effectively within a diverse team environment.
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Completion of relevant animal control training programs
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience working with dangerous or exotic animals: Hands-on experience dealing with wildlife or exotic species.
  • Experience in public health settings: Knowledge of public health regulations regarding animal control.
