Job Description

The Intake Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient admission process. You will coordinate with healthcare professionals, manage patient records, and support patients and their families throughout the care journey.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the patient admission process, ensuring all information is collected accurately
  • Liaise with various departments to facilitate smooth patient transitions
  • Document all patient interactions and ensure data compliance with regulations
  • Streamline communication between patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Implement patient feedback protocols to enhance service quality
  • Organise training sessions for new staff regarding intake procedures
  • Analyse admissions data for reporting purposes and process improvements
  • Work in collaboration with the finance team for billing inquiries
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies and health regulations
  • Assist in developing new patient intake forms and processes

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
Experience
  • 2+ years experience in patient intake and care coordination preferred
