Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technicians to provide essential support to residents in our care facility. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will ensure residents' well-being, safety, and comfort while fostering a positive living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents in personal hygiene tasks and daily routines.
  • Document and report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
  • Facilitate and engage in social and recreational activities for residents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in residents' living areas.
  • Support residents in achieving their individual care plans.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss residents' progress and strategies for care.

Requirements

Education
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is preferred.
Experience
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals is desirable.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Mental Health First Aid certification: Certification that demonstrates capability in assisting individuals experiencing mental health crises.
  • Understanding of occupational therapy techniques: Knowledge of approaches used to facilitate recovery and enhance functional independence.
