Job Description

As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and control systems that are vital for effective industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and calibration of processes and equipment.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of test procedures.
  • Provide training on instrumentation to new employees.
  • Support the engineering team with technical assistance and feedback.
  • Implement modifications to enhance the effectiveness of instrumentation systems.

Requirements

Education
  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent is preferred
Experience
  • Experience in the oil and gas sector is advantageous
Technical Skills
  • HMI/SCADA software
  • Calibration tools

Advantageous

  • Experience with hazardous area classification: Ability to identify and classify hazardous areas to promote safety.
  • Prior PLC programming experience: Hands-on experience with PLC programming and control systems integration appreciated.
