Med Tech (Medication Technician)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly competent and compassionate Med Tech to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will oversee accurate medication administration and maintain patient records, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide guidance and support to patients regarding their medication needs.
• Track patient responses to medications and report any issues to medical staff.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medications to maintain their efficacy.
• Conduct regular checks on inventory levels and reorder medications as necessary.
• Follow established protocols for medication management and documentation.
• Liaise with pharmacies regarding medication orders and issues.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualifications in healthcare

Experience

• Experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Ability to administer medications via multiple routes (oral, intravenous, etc.)

• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Advanced Medication Administration Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
