Job Description

We are on the lookout for a motivated High-Energy Astrophysicist who will engage in pioneering research within high-energy astrophysics. The successful candidate will investigate phenomena such as gamma-ray bursts and supernovae, contributing significantly to our scientific understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate high-energy phenomena using observational and theoretical research methodologies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to push the boundaries of our knowledge.
  • Utilise relevant software tools for data analysis and simulations effectively.
  • Contribute to the design of new astrophysical observational campaigns.
  • Draft and submit research proposals to relevant funding bodies.
  • Participate in public outreach activities to promote science awareness.
  • Assist in developing new techniques for data collection and analysis.
  • Engage in continued professional development to enhance research skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in Astrophysics or a closely related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in high-energy astrophysics research
