Customs and Border Protection Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Customs and Border Protection Officer to manage import operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with customs regulations and coordinate effective communication with customs authorities and international suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of import operations including logistics and customs documentation.
• Act as a primary liaison with external partners, including freight forwarders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all imports comply with current customs regulations and practices.
• Assess risks associated with trade compliance and implement necessary protocols.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for import/export processes.
• Prepare and present reports on import activities and compliance issues.
• Support other departments in understanding customs regulations and requirements.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on import procedures.
• Identify areas for improvement in import processes and systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business or related field.

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in customs compliance and import/export operations.

Certifications

Languages

• English: Fluent
