Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Trestle Mechanic to join our team in Birmingham. As a Trestle Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trestle equipment used in railway infrastructure. Your role will include conducting inspections, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain trestle structures regularly to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify necessary repairs on railway trestles.
  • Utilize a range of tools to conduct repairs and upgrades to trestle components.
  • Document all work performed and keep detailed maintenance records.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant vocational or technical certificate in mechanical engineering
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Trestle Mechanic or similar role
