Machine Feeders and Offbearers

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Machine Feeders and Offbearers responsible for operating and monitoring machines that feed raw stock materials into production lines. The successful candidates will ensure a continuous supply of materials, maintain machinery, and troubleshoot any production issues.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw materials with care and precision to avoid waste.
• Assist with machinery setup and adjustments as instructed.
• Report machine faults to the supervisor immediately.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Help train new staff on machine operation and safety practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production line.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used during shifts.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss process improvements.

Requirements

Education

• NVQ in Manufacturing (or equivalent) is preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Safety awareness
• Production tracking software

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations: Understanding of workplace safety protocols.
• Experience working with raw materials: Familiarity with different types of materials used in production.
