Job Description

We seek an experienced English Language and Literature Teacher to inspire and educate students at the postsecondary level. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in English studies and a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Teach various courses in English Language and Literature, from introductory to advanced levels.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that motivate students.
  • Provide detailed assessments and feedback on student work.
  • Maintain regular office hours for student consultations and support.
  • Contribute to the scholarly community through research and publications.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Foster partnerships with local schools and community organisations.
  • Utilize technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects.
  • Engage students in extracurricular activities related to English studies.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in English, Literature, or a related field
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of teaching experience at the college or university level
