Job Description
We seek an experienced English Language and Literature Teacher to inspire and educate students at the postsecondary level. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in English studies and a passion for teaching.
Responsibilities
Teach various courses in English Language and Literature, from introductory to advanced levels.
Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that motivate students.
Provide detailed assessments and feedback on student work.
Maintain regular office hours for student consultations and support.
Contribute to the scholarly community through research and publications.
Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Foster partnerships with local schools and community organisations.
Utilize technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning.
Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects.
Engage students in extracurricular activities related to English studies.
Requirements
Education
PhD in English, Literature, or a related field
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) preferred
Experience
3+ years of teaching experience at the college or university level
