Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lumberman to join our team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of timber types, be proficient in operating woodworking machinery, and have strong physical stamina to handle various projects.

Responsibilities

• Assess different types of timber to determine usability.
• Operate cutting machines, ensuring accurate measurements.
• Follow health and safety protocols diligently.
• Communicate effectively with team members about project requirements.
• Keep comprehensive logs of materials used and work completed.
• Participate in training sessions for skill enhancement.
• Troubleshoot machinery issues and report maintenance needs.
• Assist in managing inventory of timber supplies.
• Facilitate training for new workers on machinery operation.
• Contribute ideas to improve operational processes.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in operating CNC woodworking machines preferred.

Technical Skills

• CNC Machinery Operation
• Blueprint Reading

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
