Job Description

As a Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for managing and operating waste disposal machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to regulations to ensure the efficient treatment and disposal of waste materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the waste treatment plant.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities.
• Record and report any incidents or safety concerns.
• Engage in problem-solving to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist in the development of operational protocols.
• Participate in staff training and development sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in health and safety are desirable

Experience

• Experience in a waste disposal plant or similar environment is an advantage.
