Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to assist in medication administration to our residents. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure that all medication protocols are followed accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications accurately and in compliance with protocols.
  • Document resident health observations and report concerns to nursing staff.
  • Assist residents in preparing for medication administration.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment free from hazards.
  • Develop rapport with residents to encourage medication adherence.
  • Coordinate with pharmacy services for medication refills.
  • Ensure that all medication-related documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
  • Assist in training new staff on medication administration protocols.
  • Engage in patient education about medications when necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification in Administration of Medications
  • Further training in geriatric care is advantageous
Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in assisted living or similar environments
