Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Vet Assistant to join our team in Corby. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their visit. Responsibilities

  • Aid in the examination and diagnostic processes.
  • Conduct preliminary assessments of animals in the waiting area.
  • Support in the administration of anaesthesia and monitoring.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure understanding of pet care needs.
  • Assist with handling and restraint of animals when necessary.
  • Participate in client follow-ups and reminder calls.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the workflow.
  • Contribute to training and mentorship of new staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Level 2 Qualification in Animal Care or equivalent
  • Level 3 Qualification in Veterinary Nursing is preferred
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter
