Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Homebirth Midwife to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care to expectant mothers who choose to deliver at home, ensuring a safe and empowering birth experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to mothers during pre and postnatal stages, focusing on homebirth.
• Conduct assessments of maternal and fetal health and provide appropriate interventions.
• Facilitate and document the entire birthing process, ensuring all aspects meet professional standards.
• Address emergencies with appropriate triage and referral to hospital services when necessary.
• Provide comprehensive education on childbirth options, family planning, and breastfeeding.
• Engage with family members, providing guidance on newborn care and postpartum support.
• Regularly review and update care plans to adapt to changing patient needs.

Requirements

Education

• Additional qualifications in complementary therapies (e.g., aromatherapy or hypnobirthing) are advantageous.

Experience

• Experience in managing complex pregnancies and high-risk cases is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Water Birth Support
