Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our passionate team at London Animal Hospital. You will assist veterinarians with medical procedures, provide diligent care for animals, and educate pet owners on animal health and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Aid veterinarians during diagnostic tests and surgical procedures.
  • Manage patient care by closely monitoring their condition.
  • Take and process x-rays and other imaging requirements.
  • Educate clients on post-operative care and healthy pet practices.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of exam rooms and disposal of medical waste.
  • Assist in training junior staff and interns on veterinary procedures.
  • Document patient progress and treatment histories diligently.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team to maintain high standards of care.
  • Uphold the ethical standards of the veterinary profession in all dealings.

Requirements

Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program with certification
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a veterinary practice.
