Job Description

As a Gamekeeper, you will manage and conserve game populations and their habitats. Responsibilities include monitoring wildlife, protecting against poaching, and ensuring sustainable practices in the countryside. Your passion for wildlife conservation and outdoor skills will be vital in maintaining a thriving ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Manage land for recreational and commercial activities while ensuring sustainability.
  • Implement strategies to protect against poaching and illegal hunting.
  • Work closely with environmental agencies to ensure compliance with conservation laws.
  • Provide training and support to junior gamekeepers.
  • Engage in research to contribute to wildlife conservation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with ecologists on species recovery programs.
  • Organize educational workshops and outreach programs.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning of all tools.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Environmental Management or related field
  • Specialist certifications in conservation practices are advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in wildlife management or gamekeeping.
