Printing Press Operators

Job Description

As a Printing Press Operator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and balanced letterforms for various applications such as typography, signage, and graphic design. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong artistic sensibility, and experience in both hand-drawn and digital techniques.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage a portfolio of lettering samples and designs.
• Ensure delivery of projects on time while maintaining quality standards.
• Foster strong relationships with clients to understand their branding needs.
• Train junior staff on lettering techniques and best practices.
• Assist in auctioning off rare prints and letterforms for charity events.

Requirements

Education

• A diploma in Graphic Design or a related field is preferred.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in lettering or graphic design.

Technical Skills

• Ability to work with various lettering styles (e.g., calligraphy, graffiti)
• Knowledge of typography principles

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of digital design tools: Familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign for additional design capabilities.
