Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join our Birmingham office. In this role, you will advise clients on tax compliance and planning strategies, ensuring they remain compliant with regulations while optimising their tax positions. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of UK tax legislation and possess the ability to provide tailored advice to various clientele including SMEs and larger corporations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and provide expert tax advice.
• Prepare detailed tax calculations and returns.
• Identify areas of potential tax savings for clients.
• Conduct training sessions for junior staff on tax compliance.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities.
• Collaborate with financial planners to integrate tax strategies into client financial plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in tax advisory roles

Technical Skills

• Value Added Tax (VAT) Knowledge

Certifications

• Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
